About lunch time Mim's parents advised they were waiting in the gravel patch just out by the main road, so we finished packing up the van and headed out to join them. It was lovely to finally both of us be on the road together!
We headed north up Indian Ocean Drive for an hour or so, passing some more sand dunes including this one on the right where the wind was blowing the sand off the top of the dune and almost looked like water spray!
We continued on until we came to the Pinnacles, which are in Nambung National Park just south of the coastal town of Cervantes. The Pinnacles are an area where there are probably hundreds of thousands of limestone obelisks just standing up in the desert!
If you can't tell, it was a pretty strong wind! |
We spent probably an hour or so there before heading to a free camp on the road out of Cervantes and had our first shared dinner together!
All jammed into their caravan for tea! |
