March 1-25, 2021
I taught Jude how to make a house of cards |
One highlight of March was our wedding anniversary! We had lunch in town, then stayed the night at the Duxton Hotel which is where we had the first few days of our honeymoon!
Next day we did some shopping and enjoyed lunch together before getting back into normal life!
The kids went to Eastern Suburbs Youth Group again.
Gorgeous views of Perth from the hills end of Crystal Brook Rd |
On March 13 we had the Ketterer's and Bundesen's over for tea and readings. Another lovely evening.
We visited Marcus and Sarah Bundesen's place the afternoon of Sunday March 21 |
Jude had 'Jack', a friend from school over |
Youth Group at Eastern Suburbs |
Jude also attended Junior Youth Group at a gym in High Wycombe |
We've been to Bayswater, Yokine and Foothills ecclesias which means we've covered them all now!

The car was in the crash repairs at the end of Feb getting the structural repair work done, and mid March I got a free weekend to pull off the old bumper bar and install the new bull bar!
All finished! |

Mim's parents came across some old photos of Mim, so we managed to do another reconstruction (with great reluctance from Bek!)

In late Feb / early March I did a couple of Friday assembly talks at Heritage. The first week I did one for the upper school on Determination, and the following week for the lower school on the Thorny Devil. I drew heavily on our experience with 'Thomas' the Thorny Devil who we met on the way back from Kings Canyon last October!
During March we attended a working bee at Heritage.
As the month wore on I gave the car a service - I was surprised to find the transfer case fluid so dark! I changed it at about 205000km in Townsville and at the car's last service in December (~220,000kms) they said it needed replacing. It's likely the new clean fluid had picked up some old gunk and sediment which had been left behind.
Mim and I had three more coffee mornings
At Cafe Z in Thornlie Square shopping centre |
At a cafe in Canning Vale |
Back at Pinjarra Bakery 25th March |
We had a bit of action on the way to school one morning - an unmarked police car raced on ahead of us, shot straight through an intersection, crashed through a fence, hit an embankment and got airborne before coming to rest in a field! We were a couple of hundred metres behind but saw it pretty clearly. Both cops were OK but the car was a wreck!
Because Bek did well in the school swimming carnival, she qualified for the inter-school carnival which was held during March.
And I've taken the boys to the skate park several more times. Mim did it once too. |
Mim, her mum and Esther had a lunch out late March for Esther's birthday
